I just bought a cheshire cat poster for my room the other day X3
he's definately my fav character in both movies and books
Trying to think what lessons might be good for you. I think some solid inking skills might be a good thing to strive for...
Here, i think this is what you need, hierarchy:

Visual hierarchy is probably the thing your work lacks the most IMO. The general drawing looks great, lots of energy, great shapes and flow, but ti sends to get lost in the final product because everything on the page has the same visual impact. Therefore nothing readily stands out and the major forms are hard to read.
For instance, in this pic if you were to turn the pic to greyscale, almost all of the colors and lines would appear the same, about 50% grey. If you want the figure to read again the background there needs to be more contrast between them.
Same thing within the forms themselves. The Cheshire cat's pose is a little hard to decipher because the outline is about the same color and darkness as the fill.

I apologize for delivering unsolicited critique. I hope you find my comments helpful/encouraging, rather than a put-down. I see lot of potential in yr work and I'd love to see you reach the next level even quicker.
